Essay Contest Submissions Due March 21st

Advantage Credit Union Scholarship

Advantage Credit Union has three scholarships for 2025 graduates. One $2000, one $1000. and one $750 scholarship will be awarded. Open to any high school senior who is a member of ACU and plans on attending a two-year, four-year or technical school in the fall semester. Deadline is March 21st.

Eligibility Requirements: Must be a graduating high school senior entering a two-year or four-year college or trade school in 2025-2026 school year. Must be a member in good standing of Advantage Credit Union for at least 6 months prior to application deadline.

Application Process: Applicants must submit a business style resume' not to exceed two pages in length and answer the following essay question in 500 words or less:

Our financial experiences help shape our overall financial understanding and well-being. Share a financial lesson, event or experience that has influenced you or your family personally. If relevant, share how your credit union played a role. How will this experience impact your financial planning as you pursue higher education?

Submissions: Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 21st. Submissions will be accepted in person at the credit union or via mail if postmarked by Friday, March 21st. Mailed applications should be sent to: ACU Scholarship Contest, 121 W. 3rd St. N., Newton IA 50208
